During the 2024 edition of the Elle Decoration International Design Awards, Esosoft Bed by Antonio Citterio received the award for the ‘Bedding’ category.

Essential and timeless, the bed maintains the formal simplicity of the Esosoft family of furniture and is enhanced with sophisticated details like the tapered headboard that joins the bed frame to form a single continuous line.

Common thread of the collection, the distinctive aluminium exoskeleton of the base is characterised by exposed screws that, on one hand, enhance the unique aesthetics of the bed and, on the other, have a circular approach, making it possible to disassemble the base, facilitating recycling of the components at the end of the product’s life cycle.

Synthesis of innovation, Esosoft Bed has been developed to offer functionality in support of wellbeing. The bed frame can be provided with theBreath® air-purifying fabric, the first patented zero-emission technology for air purification that captures and breaks down contaminants to encourage the natural circulation of clean air. The headboard padding is equipped with a Soundfil® sound-absorbing panel, a recycled, hygienic and nontoxic material capable of limiting and diminishing nearby vibrational sound frequencies. Furthermore, confirming the company’s ongoing commitment to identifying alternative solutions, circular materials, such as polyurethane with a percentage of polyols derived from biological sources and recycled PET wadding, have been employed.
